In 2020, the TALAP Center launched the study "Analysis of China's Economic Strategy and Foreign Policy in Kazakhstan". A separate area of research was the formation of the Index of perception of China in Kazakhstan based on a broad sociological survey of the population.
In November of this year, the TALAP Center completed the fourth wave of research based on an original methodology that includes the analysis of 32 variables and the calculation of 4 key indicators:
the general perception, geopolitical power, economic power and cultural influence of China.
The presentation will cover the following topics:
- Global trends in China's perception: an overview of public opinion polls, international soft power ratings and multifactorial expert assessments.
- Features of China's perception in Central Asia and Kazakhstan: analysis of data from Gallup, the Central Asian Barometer and many other sources.
- Dynamics of public opinion in Kazakhstan since 2020: key changes in recent years (based on the methodology of the TALAP Center).
- Public opinion on international projects in Kazakhstan, including Chinese initiatives and expectations regarding nuclear power plant contractors.
- The matrix of perception of international brands in Kazakhstan: a study of the level of fame and evaluation of companies from different countries.
